Do you know where "Cola" got its name? It is named for the cola (or kola) nut, which is endemic to West Africa. With each drink they sell, Karma is steering the profit of the cola-drinking market (2 billion units daily) toward the region that deserves it the most, with education and sustainability projects that enrich West Africa. Sounds a bit better than supporting that other enormous company that routinely chooses their own profits over the health of the planet or the people in it, right?
